Perfect, now that I have your attention, greetings. I have a Civic 1.5 Turbo Sport Plus and I’m not sure whether to use KTuner or a remap, I haven’t touched the engine yet but I do have intentions. If the option is KTuner, where can I get it? I also need to know if the FK8 body kit fits the FK7 without having to modify anything on the chassis, just swap and done. Thanks, regards.
Good luck!
I offer you another possibility, and much more economical: Bluespark…
Step by step:
I don’t know whether to install KTuner or a remap, I haven’t touched anything on the engine yet
My advice is to first work on the chassis, you’ll enjoy it much more than just some extra power. However, if you don’t want to follow this, I recommend KTuner, it will allow you to adjust maps in the future based on what you install. (intercooler, intake, dp…)
Where can I get it?
You have to buy it from the USA, with the corresponding shipping and customs fees.
I also need to know if the FK8 body kit fits the FK7 without having to modify anything on the chassis, just swap and go.
If you’re referring to the plastic body kit they sell, there’s no need to modify anything, although if you want the wheel to be flush with the body kit, you’ll need to cut the car’s original fenders or they’ll rub. Honestly, if you want to add R aesthetics, I recommend just installing the hood and that’s it.
With all this said, there are tons of threads with different projects on the forum, spend a few hours reading them, people like @kytos, @Morrillu, myself… we’ve installed everything, in different orders of parts and objectives, so we can “recommend things” from personal experience.
Perfect, thank you, I’ll take a look at the projects and if I have any questions or anything, I’ll let you know ![]()
They had already told me this, but you can’t put pops on it, right?
Do you want the car to last, or do you just want to “show off” at the meetups???
I agree with @Jorege that the K-Tuner will give you more flexibility if you’re going to tweak more engine components, but if you don’t plan to modify much, I wouldn’t complicate things.
If you want your engine to last, don’t put them on, this isn’t a VAG. There was already someone who put them on just because and ended up with a connecting rod greeting him. I knew it, we knew it, but he did it anyway.
What did he do? Because I got a little lost haha
I want it to last and for me to like it, I don’t want exaggerated pops, something normal, not a bastard.
They say don’t do it, neither too much nor too little.
No, Non, Não, Nein, いいえ, Όχι, Nincs, Ingen, Geen!!
Because you’ll damage the engine due to the overpressure waves in the exhaust that rise up to the turbo and valves. This way, your engine will be healthier, and the neighbors won’t remember you.
In my specific case, of your deceased…
Morrillu: I’ve never been known for my tact…
If you’re looking for more power and spark, I would sell the car now that its resale value is through the roof, and look for something else. It will be more cost-effective than trying to turn it into something it’s not.
