Well, I’m bringing you an app that I’m programming for our Civics. Tired of apps that don’t work with the radio or are hard to read, I initially wanted to create a theme for Torque Pro. But after two days of creating all kinds of gradients and images, I decided to create a native app (original radios) for our Android 4.2.2 system. I hope to have it ready by the beginning of next year, fingers crossed. In the meantime, here are some images
with several interchangeable data or standard moment?
Very cool! And could it be installed without any problem in the stock radio??
I decided to create a native app for our Android 4.2.2 system, I hope to have it ready by the beginning
Interesting!! All my support, it would be very, very useful for me to display pressures, temperatures, etc. on the screen (Since I want to enter a mini 30-minute session at the Circuit of Jerez) and have the important values at a glance!!
In each meter, with a tap, a list of sensors opens to choose from, including specific Honda ones, and if you press for more than 5 seconds, you delete the sensor assigned to the meter. What cannot be changed is the meter format since I created it with minimal load in the UI to avoid affecting the speed at which the sensors send data to the meters.
It is specifically made for our original Honda radios, although it can be used in more modern ones.
Well, if you need a beta tester, I volunteer heheh
Everything will come in due time.
This is awesome, for me it comes a bit late because I already added a separate screen, but it’s still interesting.
It seems like a super interesting project, great job!
Incredible, I can use tunerview with ktuner which is already quite well developed, but I’m not interested in using the HU. Before finding a new job, I was working on some watch faces with an LCD/OLED screen with a programmable ESP32. My question is, have you used the screen’s own CAN interface or do you need to connect some generic OBD? I see you’ve managed to get the oil temperature, it would be good to check if it’s calculated or measured, I have an oil gauge and could verify it. The oil level is also interesting. It would also be nice to be able to set up knock control.
Since I have the original Honda HDS and all the manuals, and seeing that it has the CAN lines in the connectors, I was thinking of buying a head unit and using it as a guinea pig. However, I don’t think it’s possible because it would surely have a firewall somewhere to prevent an application from reading the CAN line. But that’s why we’re here, to break the rules; everything will come in time.
Congratulations!! And all my support… you will keep us informed on what to do and how to get the app and install it.. what I find curious is that you can measure the oil.. I thought they didn’t have an oil thermometer…
I can’t assure you 100%, but I can say with a fairly high percentage that in European units, I don’t know if any low-end models like the 1.0 gasoline don’t have it, we have an oil gauge with a temperature sensor at the bottom of the oil pan which gives us the oil level and temperature, just like the CVT transmission fluid radiator which they don’t have in the United States.
It would be fantastic to have at least a trial version, to see how it behaves according to motorization/firmware versions… When you have it ready, don’t hesitate to publish it.
It’s crazy, where can I get it ![]()

Wow!! Would it work for 1.0?
for units with the 7" screen with Android
But is the hack necessary? Or how would it be installed? It’s just that I don’t have it, but I don’t mind adding it.
