Burning smell in Civic

Good evening!

A couple of weeks ago I bought a 2019 Civic 1.0 with 126hp. Honestly, I’m very happy with the car in general, but I do have a pressing concern. When I’ve been driving for a while, I get a “hot” smell, like burnt plastic. I’ve tried to see if there’s an oil leak or something, but the engine is spotless and dry. I’ve been stressing over this for days because I don’t know where it’s coming from. When I lift the hood, the smell seems to dissipate and it smells more like a regular car. I don’t know if it’s normal because I’m coming from a '97 diesel Astra and this is my first petrol car. I know people who say it’s normal, but I’d like to get the opinions of people who have the same Civic model or might have an idea, to see if I should complain to the dealership or if I’m just overthinking it.

thanks in advance:raised_hand:t2:

Just so you know, the 1.0 is a car where the engine gets very hot; I feel the heat even in winter, so you could indeed have a bit of that smell.

Es nuevo?

A ver si eso va a ser el olor normal de la parafina que al principio llevan las piezas …eso te dura un par de meses máximo, quizá menos
