I have a question, I changed the hose before it was broken, as a preventive measure, you know, what happens when it is broken? Like, is there anything different in the car’s performance, does it throw an error or what happens?
The colleague didn’t have any issues, and the car was running fine. His hose is one of the thin ones; when starting, the hose would shrink and get crushed where the crack is (clue 1), but covering it with electrical tape kept its shape. My hose is thicker, and when starting, it didn’t get crushed where the crack is. So, depending on which hose you have installed, it will either get crushed or not if it’s cracked…
I have ignition errors, but I still don’t know if they are due to the hose or not. When I change the hose, I’ll see if they go away or not.
If the spark plug thread has oil (clue 2) like in my case, it could be due to the PCV valve, which is why I decided to check the hose and the valve.
I already changed the tube; pulling it out is really tough, it’s better to lever it with a plastic tool, pull out as much as you can, and then keep pulling it.
I almost got it right, I thought about removing it with this staple remover, which I ordered at the time. Or also with the one that’s not pliers, but in the end, it’s about leveraging like with plastic tools.
Changed in a jiffy. For the tube, using one of the plastic tools to pry and pull the tube (without fear, after all, IT WASN’T GOING TO BREAK ANYMORE), it comes out without problems. And to fit it, despite being of a larger section, neither.
I have been looking for a tutorial to replace the PCV of the 1.0 and I can’t find anything. For now, I have located the code of what I believe is the valve: 11856-5AY-H01
