Review on Honda

500 euros for the service at the official Honda, WTF, the first and last time I take it to an official workshop, are we crazy or what?

You’ve been scammed quite well, are you from Barcelona or around there? Because more people have said they’re overpriced. It seems your review is the AB2, and that shouldn’t cost more than 200 and a bit €€€. A normal A is 140€, oil and filter. The B is 20€, just a visual inspection that takes 5 minutes. They’ve charged you 76€ for the pollen filter, and it costs 19€ on Amazon (I always change it in my Honda and it costs around 30€, but it’s worth it for me). And a diagnosis usually costs 50-60€ if you need it; if not, I don’t know why they’re doing it. Well, yes, to scam you.

Add the brake fluid revision 7 that they were asking for 130 bucks more haha, I rejected that one and I’ll take it to a regular workshop that costs 40 euros, and I’ll reset the warning code myself and keep on living.

Yes, it’s very expensive.

For the AB in official service, they are charging me around 140 and something. I also changed the pollen filter recently, and it was about €40.

The diagnostic check, I don’t know why they charge you for it, in any case, it would fall under B. They’ve really inflated A for you, and I’d bet the pollen filter costs them 10€. Basically, it could be classified as a scam, especially because of the diagnosis.

Hello. I was charged €300 for the AB service (oil and oil filter) in Madrid and it already seemed very expensive to me.

The price of the A service is similar to what I paid last month at the official Honda M-Car workshop, and it seemed expensive compared to what people on the forum are paying at other official workshops.

Not to mention a rather careless treatment.

In Alcobendas???, now there’s one called that

At the old Autoser, they charged me 287 for an AB2 two years ago Last year the AB 220 if I remember correctly

Well, it’s time for the AB27, I don’t even want to think about it…

615 is worth it in BCN the AB27 at the official Honda, the seven is brake fluid, go to a local workshop where they do it for 40 instead of paying 127 for the 7, and you reset the warning light yourself and that’s it.

In any decent workshop, everything will be cheaper, that’s clear. I am certain that everything I have done and will do is at an official dealership, no matter what, and not because they will do it better, far from it. I simply want the complete history with Honda, because later on, when people are buying, it’s one of the first things they look at, and it affects the final price, even if it doesn’t make sense.

I’m considering it. Recently, I took my Avensis for some repairs and the labor hour costs 47€. Reviewing last year’s Honda service invoice, the hour costs 92€, double the amount.

It seems like a lot. If I find a trustworthy workshop (quite tricky, to be honest), I’ll switch. This will be the last service at the dealership because I assume they won’t offer any discount… I’ll let you know how much it costs.

What you say is true, but look at the price you pay… double! Ugh.

I think here you should apply an ROI calculation or “Diminishing Returns.” Let me explain: The extra money you’re going to spend on taking it to an official workshop is because you’re going to sell it and you don’t want it to depreciate, right? Well, to know if it’s worth it, you should consider the extra value you can get from the car compared to another that doesn’t undergo official workshop inspections.

That said, taking it to the official workshop for the stamps to sell it at a better price doesn’t apply to me. I don’t want to sell the car in X years; I want to keep it until it needs to be replaced due to age or repeated breakdowns. More or less the same as I did with my previous 2000 Clio in 2020. Only the emissions regulations in Barcelona forced me to do it earlier because the darn thing could have lasted a few more years.

Not only would that be the reason, but also because I don’t have any trustworthy workshop “that works well”—trustworthy, yes, but not for taking my car. It’s fine for taking the company vans, but I don’t trust any of them, especially when I’ve seen things that instantly put you off, like not protecting anything at all when receiving the car, and because almost all workshops only know how to change oil and filters.

Exactly what’s happening to me. North of Madrid, Alcobendas

69 euros for the B service without changing anything. At 95 per hour at M Car but at the one on Narváez Street in Madrid. For just a simple service, it seems expensive to me. And for the A service three months ago, they charged me 188 euros with oil and oil filter.

Well, the AB 27 made me tremble I’ll tell you tomorrow

Edit. €347 AB27

The lion is not as fierce as they paint it, or so it seems to me. It doesn’t look very puffed up, does it?
