I park the car uncovered, cover or no cover?

Hello! The situation is as follows, I park the car outdoors, I live in Asturias, and I’m not sure whether to put a cover on it or not. I will apply the ceramic treatment in 15 days. Some forum users report that the cover ends up scratching due to dirt, dust specks, etc.

My biggest fear is that it will lose color from so much sun exposure, is this something that the ceramic treatment prevents?

I should mention that it’s parked outside but within my property, so there would be no problem putting on whatever is needed; on the other hand, it’s freshly painted red!

In case you recommend a cover, if you have the link to one that works well for you, please share it (keeping in mind that I have the Type R FK8 spoiler mounted and my car is the Sport Plus 10th gen).

Thanks!

I would say that if you move it infrequently, I would definitely use a case, but if you use it daily, it might become uncomfortable. Also, the more you remove and put on the case, the dirtier it will get.

That’s what I think, anyway.

You say you park on your plot, I understand within your property. In this case, I would set up an awning or a tent, and you even have it cool in the summer.

The cover, as they say, is fine for long-term, but I don’t see it for daily use.

In any case, I think paints nowadays withstand better than before, and in Asturias, it’s not like the solar radiation will kill you
