Radio wiring harness

Hi everyone, I’m new to this group and well, first off, my name is Alex and I have a 2020 Honda Civic. I bought the car at Ocasion Plus… and getting to the point, the issue is that the rear camera isn’t working for me… investigating, I’ve found that the wiring harness going to the radio wasn’t the original one and I’d like to know if anyone knows where I could get it??? I’ve searched on AliExpress and bought one, but it turned out that it worked, but the mic stopped working… basically a disaster… please, I’d really like to know if anyone knows where I could get the original one??

The radio wiring harness is connected to the BCM among other things; you can’t just change it like that.

What you’re showing in the photo looks more like some kind of adapter for who-knows-what purpose.

The original 32-pin plug you’re showing (the one you’ll have in the car and to which you connect that “bridge”) is what controls the rear camera and the microphone, specifically:

pin 5: mic activate/mute
pin 6: mic shield
pin 7: mic power
pin 22: mic positive
pin 23: mic ground

Start by checking if the pins I’ve marked in green have wires in the connector coming out of the dashboard:

Actually, looking at that adapter in your photo again, it really looks like it was used to connect an external camera, whether it’s a front one or an aftermarket rear one.

Thanks a lot for the help, I’ll take a look at it now… the truth is that with that connector or harness, only the camera worked for me, and if I use the other one, only the mic works… so I was trying to find the original one for the car, but it’s very complicated.

The thing is, what you’re calling the “original” in the car is the cable coming out of the dashboard; that cable connects directly to the radio, and there’s no adapter in between unless you use a bridge to connect something aftermarket.

Have you tried connecting the cable coming out of the dashboard directly to the radio with nothing in between? If it hasn’t been modified, that should make everything work fine.

I don’t know if this helps, but take a look at this thread:

How about it, mates? In the end, I found the issue… and indeed, your messages solved everything for me… since the camera had been installed, as I imagine the car didn’t come with a camera… and that’s why the microphone wasn’t working when connecting the cables…
