My name is David, and although I’ve been reading this forum for some time and have been with Honda even longer, I hadn’t introduced myself yet.
In 2021, I had several ITV (vehicle inspection) issues with my previous car, mainly related to emissions and braking that we couldn’t fix on the second attempt, so I thought it was time.

The old 1997 MX3 was due for retirement (don’t worry, the beast is still alive and well), and the chosen one was a 2018 Civic 1.5T.
I’ve decided to introduce myself because the car, now without warranty or anything, is about to start changing. I’ve been thinking for days about doing a remap and starting to change things, beginning with painting, because the car’s paint has started to peel in places without any damage, like the rear window frame, which is not normal with less than 10 years of original paint warranty. That, and I have full coverage, and the insurance has already hit me with a hefty bill this year that I can’t take: a whopping 748 bucks.
To the shop it goes, and the insurance will paint the car for me.
