As the title says, the Honda dealership in Córdoba, Icsa Motor, has closed. I suppose some of you already know, but it’s always good to inform.
Icsa Motor was a great official dealership, but years ago it started its decline with constant changes in staff and location.
The important thing is that I had a problem with the A/C of the Civic X and thanks to you I found out it was under warranty. In the end, the closest was Seville, but I decided to take it to Granada partly because of its good reviews on Maps and because I’m in love with this city and its people.
I called both dealerships to ask if they would cover the repair under warranty, and while Granada had no issues, I’m still waiting for a callback from Seville even after giving them the chassis number.
In summary, for those in Córdoba, I recommend that for problems or inspections you want to continue doing at an official dealership, go to Granada. Carlos, the workshop manager, attended me excellently and they work very well.
Even though it’s further away, I prefer good service and competent people, and on top of that, with good treatment.
In my opinion, it is not primarily a matter of impoverishment, but rather that the new generations do not see the car as a dream to fulfill as most of us did in my generation, the EGB generation. The terraces are full, people are traveling more and more, spending more on consumer electronics with planned obsolescence (iPhone, Android, PC-gamer,…),… In summary, people’s priorities have changed, and just as the Chinese industry once ended almost all of Japan’s HIFI audiovisual industry, it is now ending the world of internal combustion engines, and in the EU, it is most affecting brands like Honda that were slower to bet on serial hybridization of their most iconic models, as Toyota did. This, combined with the fact that the German trident still dominates in the EU when the price difference is not as large as before, will, in my opinion, lead to brands like Honda having a testimonial presence or disappearing from the European market, focusing on the American and Japanese markets. In León, we also lost the official Honda dealership 2 years ago…
Wow, I had no idea. It doesn’t surprise me either because the service they provided was quite bad, to say the least. This summer I tried to get them to answer the phone to schedule a service, and I had to take it to a local garage while I was on vacation at the beach because those scoundrels wouldn’t even pick up the phone. That’s the thing with Cívico, almost everything they touch ends up getting ruined…
