I’m opening a new thread to see if you can help me. I’ve searched for posts but haven’t quite found the information I’m looking for.
The problem is that I’m not sure if something has come disconnected from the reservoir or if it’s cracked, broken, etc. Water does reach the headlights when I go to clean them, but no water reaches the front or rear windshield. I can hear the pump motor, but no water comes out… I’ve topped up the tank just in case and nothing.
Has anyone had something similar happen? Do you know an easy way to access it to perform any kind of check on the reservoir?
If it’s coming out of the headlights, we can rule out the pump not working. And if you don’t have any leaks on the way to the windshield, then something is clogged. If I’m not mistaken, the hose goes up the left side of the hood and will have a connector somewhere that you can undo (so the hood can be removed). Undo it and see if fluid comes out. If it does, as Sirone points out, the spray nozzles are clogged; you can clear them with a pin.
Morrillu: tell someone to put their face right up to the loose hose and you’ll have a good laugh…
That’s because of the fluid you’re using, which creates limescale and clogs the nozzles. I carefully removed the nozzles from the hood and blew them out with an air compressor. It’s been perfect ever since; I only use distilled water and a fluid from Lidl (I can’t remember the name). It hasn’t caused any more problems.
I’ve tried to take them out but I don’t dare. I don’t want to break anything. Tomorrow I’m going to the shop to have them take a look. Depending on the quote, I’ll see what my options are.

Llevé al taller oficial el coche y vieron que el circuito estaba como comido por roedores o algo similar desde la parte de delante hasta la trasera según me dijeron. Presupuestaron el arreglo en varias horas de mano de obra más material (eran más de 300€ + iva creo recordar) por que había que desmontar mucha parte de abajo hasta llegar al limpia de atrás. Solo reparé la parte delantera por no hacer uso de la trasera.
Precisamente leyendo tenia en la cabeza lo que me paso el año pasado ya que un raton me daño varias mangueras del motor entre ellas las del limpiaparabrisas que me las daño justo a la salida del motor y en varias secciones de la subida por el paso de rueda y la que pasa por detras de la manta del capo, yo pedi las mangueras nuevas tanto las de capo como las dos que suben desde el deposito desmonte el paso de rueda y por la parte de arriba las cubiertas del vano motor que cierran las aletas y los cambie yo mismo, el raton o ratones no pueden pasar mas alla de la parte de arriba del interior de la aleta hay un empalme justo ahi para la parte de atras y no tienes que cambiar nada mas, ese presupuesto de 300 euros lo veo muy subidito.
Muchas gracias por la información. A mi tambien me pareció elevado y no reparé la parte trasera de momento. Yo no me atrevo a hacerlo por mi mismo porque no tengo los conocimiento para ello. A futuro daré una vuelta al tema o se quedará de esta manera.
