FK7 steering spacers

Good morning. It’s been a little over a year since I had an accident, and my right knee has been a bit weak. It always hurts when I drive in the position I’ve been using for years, so I’ve had to adjust it by moving the seat quite far back, and that way it doesn’t hurt at all.

But of course, now the steering wheel is “farther” than I’d like, and on moderately long trips, my neck gets very strained.

I should mention that I have the seat well-adjusted, the backrest forward, and the steering wheel fully extended.

So I would like to know if it’s feasible to install a spacer (not much, maybe 1" or a little more) on the stock steering wheel, what the appropriate size would be, and which ones would be recommended.

I understand that if the option exists, it would need to be approved, right?

Thank you very much in advance and have a nice day.

It is not possible to homologate a displaced steering wheel with an airbag, so it simply cannot be done as you want.

Morrillu: things are complicated

to make it legal, they would have to give you a disability rating, and with that disability rating, you can move the steering wheel as much as you want (subject to approval)

Cheer up with your knee, try rehabilitation, it’s that or buy yourself an SUV :frowning:
