Things are going on at Mapfre 578 with a deductible of 200 and without a replacement vehicle for 5 days
I think I’m going to take this because what I’ve looked at elsewhere is the same or worse… only Mutua is cheaper, but it doesn’t convince me
However, I’m not sure if I should file a claim before dropping the full coverage without a deductible and paint it, at least one side that has several scratches… it worries me because over the years the paint isn’t the same as the original, the paint shop might do a poor job. I have a bad experience with the Avensis, and a so-so one with the Aveo And taking it to the dealership to paint? …man, what a hassle
If it’s not too bad, I wouldn’t paint it. My car was scratched twice. The first time they painted it was a disaster (they chipped the edges from resting the parts on the ground and many parts were poorly assembled). The second time, they had to paint the whole thing and I took it to another shop, and it was more of the same. They mess up when painting certain parts, and when they reassemble everything, it doesn’t fit quite right. In this last instance, for example, when they reattached the CIVIC letters on the back, some weren’t properly stuck and others were crooked… I’m scared every time they touch the car. Or maybe both times were just bad luck and I ended up with unprofessional shops.
Same experience. Regrettable I am considering doing these paintings in the CO itself, which will take longer, but there it is already unforgivable not to assemble everything well afterwards…
I did the first one with the CO and it never turns out like from the factory. I was told that there are parts that come well-assembled from the factory, but once disassembled, they don’t fit the same. These are things that if you don’t see them from the start, you don’t even notice. But once you know it’s there, it gets a bit annoying. After seeing many body and paint shops, I’ve realized that the issue isn’t taking it to a CO or an expensive shop, it’s about the people working there… Because when I took it to the CO, I saw a lot of young people who clearly were just starting and were lost… So no matter how much of a CO it is, if the new or inexperienced guy does it, the result will be the same or worse than any other shop. So the best thing is to have someone recommend a shop where they know there are good professionals.
Hello, I hope I’m not too late. I have both Honda Civic EP2 Sport with Mafre. For one, they charge me about 430 and for the other about 500. I have to call in January to negotiate, otherwise, I’ll have to switch to another insurance. I’m quite happy with Mafre’s service, but it’s true that it’s a lot of money.
