Hi again, the one from the other day I told you it did at 4, it actually did at 7.5; now I finish all of them no matter what, unless it catches you in a way that makes it impossible.
As for stopping the car without finishing the regeneration, I can assure you that mine triggers that regeneration again when I take it out; it’s verified, I guarantee it. If one day I can’t finish it, I’ll show you.
Hmm, I don’t know, it’s weird that it does it with so little.
I actually have the Civic IX, and even though it’s supposed to be the same engine and DPF, I think the i-DTEC in the Civic X is rated for lower emissions. The electronics might be programmed to trigger regenerations earlier, but it seems strange to me; it could also be that CarScanner is measuring it differently.
Well, as long as you keep making sure most of them finish… you shouldn’t have any problems. Although I know it’s a bit frustrating—personally, I don’t use the car much and most of my miles are on trips, otherwise I’d be totally fed up .
That’s interesting about the regeneration starting back up; before I used Torque to monitor them, I thought the same, but other people told me no.
And it has happened to me, where they’ve been left halfway because I didn’t notice or, like you, there are times when it’s impossible to finish it, and when I start the car again, it stays at the PM level it was at in the middle of the regen and then starts climbing again. It doesn’t start regenerating until it hits at least 10g of PM.
This is how we’re looking right now, but what you’re saying is a total drag; the good thing is that with this ODB you kind of force yourself to finish them.
Hi, sorry, I just saw this. I don’t understand what you mean, did it start at 9.3g or 12g? For me, it always starts from 10 (or 9.9) or sometimes more if it’s having trouble starting.
But it’s still very few kilometers. You should try one of those products that go directly into the DPF (fap) like Xenum DPF Cleaner, right after having done a full regeneration.
