Good morning! I have a 10th Gen Civic 1.5 T Sport Plus, now with 65,000km, and Iāve decided to get a Stage 1 remap (the most conservative one). I know Iām late to the game, but better late than neverā¦ Iāve been recommended the Vagspeed shop in Hospitalet (Barcelona). Does anyone have any feedback? Thanks a lot in advance.
Since youāre already late, as you say, it doesnāt hurt to take a bit longer and read the thread. Youāll see thereās plenty of talk about KTuner (tons of info on the forum) and not much about going to shops, where who knows what theyāre loading and how.

Iām completely hopeless with mechanics, so Iād really appreciate it if you know of a trustworthy workshop in Barcelona that does itā¦ Iāve heard about Bcn motorsport, br performance and vagspeedā¦. what do you think?

As others have already mentioned, KTuner is currently the best option for our cars.
I would go with KTuner; itās the most proven and widely installed choice for our cars, and Iād avoid any remap shops.

No shop knows how to install KTuner, and itās idiot-proof, so imagine trusting them with whatever map they give you.
Some people here have gone to a local tuning shop and I donāt think it worked out very well for them.
Out of all of us running a tune, 99% of us use KTuner.

KTuner is a tuning interface that offers several advanced features, but it requires some skill on your part (itās not too expensive either) and ideally having a laptop or a PC. With it, you can later get a custom tune from a professional, use a base map, or use a pre-made map like TSP. You can look for more info if youāre really interested. If you decide to go somewhere, make sure itās actually a custom tune because, even though it might seem otherwise, many places just buy and upload pre-made files while you think youāve paid to have the map tuned specifically for your car.

And what if you look for someone nearby who has KTuner, talk to them, buy them some tapas, and have them help you install it??

I still have to redo the remap on mine (yeah, Iām a lazy bastard) but hey, if I was able to do it with the KTuner, anyone can.

In the case of a remap or Ktunerā¦ Have you declared it to your insurance? ā¦ Iāve heard that in the event of an accident theyāll wash their hands of it otherwiseā¦
