Hello, to be honest, I’m using the car very little, but it’s going great. It’s been exactly one year now, and I’ve scheduled an appointment to change it again (maint. AB) (they’re fully booked, they’ve given me an appointment in two weeks).
As for consumption, it’s the same, I haven’t reset the consumption data for quite some time, but it shows 5.7l/100km. I usually drive it briskly with a mix of highway/city/national roads… I’ve noticed that the average speed shows 40km/h.
When cold, I think it was making that tappet noise for a couple of seconds, although the last two times I didn’t pay much attention, so I’m not sure if it continued. I’m changing the oil because the car’s alert came up and because it’s been over a year since I last changed it, but I’m doing very few kilometers with the car. However, when I do drive it, I give it a bit of a push to clear out the carbon, haha.
The only thing I can tell you is not to skimp on buying good oil, as you’ll notice the difference in the long run.
I’d also like to mention that I’ve been trying Repsol’s premium fuel, and it seems the car runs a bit smoother. (I read an article recommending using a premium fuel every 3 refuels). The first time I used it, I noticed something odd, like a strange vibration, but after about a minute or so, it was fine. I attributed it to the fuel cleaning some gunk in the injectors, but who knows, maybe I was just imagining it. What I can say is that I noticed something odd shortly after refueling, about 3 or 4 minutes into driving, I guarantee it 100%, because I was a bit puzzled, but after the initial scare, I’ve used it again and I do notice it runs smoother compared to the regular GALP fuel I usually use.
I have to try the GALP premium diesel to see how it goes, but I recommend you try the Repsol premium and share your impressions. It’s a bit more expensive, but there’s not much difference.
