Given the possibility of updating the car’s tablet at the dealership with a more recent version and the lack of information we have regarding the different versions, I am opening this thread for anyone who wants to participate.
The idea is to share your Civic model year, the firmware it’s running, and if you have any problems with it.
I’ll start:
Civic sport plus - December 2018
Firmware 1.F196.47
Common problems: low GPS accuracy for the first couple of minutes.
Occasionally, all the ACC, LKAS, etc., lights have come on. Restarting the tablet solved it on its own.
The dealership solution is to update to version 1.F.197.70 to solve the GPS issue and other potential bugs; it is basically the equivalent of a Windows XP Service Pack but extrapolated to our Android tablet. It is the most polished and global update for all pre-facelift tablets.
In the following table, you can see which models it applies to (all those with the old tablet):
And here are the models that, from that chassis number onwards, already have this update installed from the factory (presumably, all those that come with the new tablet, the one with the volume knob):

PS2: This update is intended for the European market; I do not have information regarding the results on a Civic from other regions.
PS3: No other USB should be connected to the car while performing the update. If you have one with music connected to the armrest port, disconnect it before starting the process; otherwise, the update will not proceed.

-Which models are compatible? They are all in the table above, but in short, all models with the “old” tablet (the one without a volume knob), regardless of the trim or engine.
-Does it add anything new? It does not add any new functions.
-Why update then? To fix tablet bugs.
-Is it free? If the car is still under warranty, it is usually free.
-What if it’s out of warranty? Well, it doesn’t hurt to ask, but they will likely charge you something. The update is linked two paragraphs above; you would just need to put it on a USB formatted to Fat32, extract the folders to the root, and follow the PDF in this thread.
-How do I know what my firmware version is? Home screen → info → device information
-What if I have Honda Hack? You have to reinstall it. You need to have the code the seller provided and contact them, because apparently, until they “reactivate” it so to speak, it will give an error as if the code were incorrect.
