Version update, which are the central letters. The same happens with other parts. Hence the difference with the 31500-TV0-E02. Or because they are shared with other models, they don’t have to match the OEM. If you remember when you took out the old one, compare the reference to see if it’s the same or the one I mentioned. Or a different one.
Another thing: is it Varta? Because in other Honda models, the new batteries they install are, interestingly, Yuasa. And does it also indicate 60Ah/450A EFB like the original?
@Roccko I was talking on the phone with one of the mechanics at the workshop for quite a while about the battery programming.
What they do is reset the S&S counter to 0, because the battery data is automatically taken by the BMS (Battery Management System) from the EBS module (Electronic Battery Sensor) mounted on the battery itself. But what it doesn’t do is reset that counter, so when it reaches a predetermined number of S&S activations, it will stop working. But you can always go, in that case, to the dealership and have them program it.
In short, I’ll install the Yuasa and when it’s time for a check-up, I’ll ask them to reprogram it and problem solved.
